- Costume, props, and light effects accompany the story.
Terms in Drama
- Act: Action meant to be represented by the cast at a particular scene.
- Scene: Place and time location of a particular act.
- Conflict: Conflict or complication refers to challenges, opposition, or obstacles that move the plot of the story.
- Cast: Characters in a play or drama.
- Aside: A cast communicates with the audience but is not heard by other characters on the scene.
- Tragedy: When a story ends sadly; when the protagonist suffers some loss.
- Dialogue: Conversations going on in a story.
- Exit: When a cast leaves the scene.
- Soliloquy: When a cast thinks aloud. A cast in his lonely moment speaks out what he is thinking.
- Melodrama: A play with exaggerated events but which produces excitement in the audience.
